Hi all

This may be a dumb question or idea but I'm looking for a horizontal computer case or a tower that I can lay down if it is safe to do so but I don't want something plain and boring and I didn't know if they still actually exist what with everything being towers now.

The reason for this is that my computer is hooked up to the TV in the living room and the tower is just plonked next to the TV. I have a TV media stand or whatever you want to call it that has the traditional spaces for DVD player, games console, ect/all things that lay flat but they are empty so I can put my computer into one of them if I had the right case.

Just wanted to know if they are still a thing and if someone can point me to them. As I said I'm not looking for something like the old Dell/IBM base units, I want a modern day variant with maybe RGB and a view panel at the top so that the inside RGB shines out.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT - Forgot to say that I am in the UK and that I have an ATX size motherboard so the case would need to fit that.

Depending on the clearance in the cupboard spaces, theres a different number of cases you may use....

Cooler master Elite series: https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/cases/mini-itx/elite110a/

Silverstone has a couple too: https://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?area=en&pid=488

Thermaltake: thermaltake.com/core-v1

Fractal...: https://www.fractal-design.com/products/cases/node/node-202/black/

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

Thank you both.

My main concern for just laying a tower down was the fan configuration, especially of the CPU and top fans but I can always change those. The other concerns were the orientation of the HDDs and if would wear them out faster and I would also assume I would need to add some kind of pad/foot to the side of the tower to raise it up off the surface.

Couple of things that I forgot to mention that I will to my original post is that I'm in the UK and I have an ATX motherboard and not really looking to buy a new one so the new case would need to fit that size.

Not necessary, but it's up to you.
