No. A 9900K is still great in 2021. For 1440p, you won’t notice a CPU upgrade. 
 

A 2080ti is also still good. It’s still a good GPU for 1440p. You can’t even buy a GPU in 2021 anyway so be happy with what you have tbh.

 

Are you not getting your desired performance?

No, I'd wait, upgrading won't be worth it. The 9900K and 2080ti are both still extremely capable parts.

Old Laptop 1 - HP Pavilion 15, A10-9600P, R5 iGPU, 8GB, R8 M445DX, 2TB HDD

Old Laptop 2 - HP Pavilion 15 TouchSmart, i3-3217U, Intel HD 4000, 4GB, 1TB HDD

Currently rocking a titan XP which is similar to a 1080 ti, and an 8th gen i7. adequate for my 1440p 144Hz needs. Only upgrade if your performance does not meet your standards.

 

Although, one could argue that it's not really worth upgrading in the current GPU market.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

ya that main reason I was curious cause of all the stupid level prices.

TBH sell that 2080ti (can sell them at 1500-2000usd on eBay) and then buy a 3090 when prices go down. 

 

That would be a upgrade.....

true i have a 1080ti and a 1070 i got as spares. i usually always keep a backup

Yeah. I'd wait untill the end of the year and sell the 2080ti. It would probably mid 2022 at the earliest to get cards at MSRP anyways.
