Computer keeps freezing

Hello,

My friend is having issues with her custom-built computer. She built it a while ago, and it had no issues until just recently.

This is her direct response (with some exaggerations), but I will provide a TDLR at the end:

"basically I’ll turn it on, it’ll be fine for an hour or two, but after a while when I open discord or some other application it will crash everything so then I either have to restart my computer or just wait like 7383829292 hours for it to unfreeze. usually, ill just restart it. most of the time when i restart it, it literally just boots up to bios. if i wait a few hours though, it won’t boot into bios. there was a problem with me in task manager a while ago saying i had like 100% disk space or something like that, but no matter how hard I tried it never fixed. that issue alone made my pc freeze, but idk if it’s still happening. we took it into Best Buy about 2 weeks ago when it just completely wouldn’t start, and they ran tests and shit on it getting it to boot up."

 

TD;LR: 

- When opening applications like Discord, her computer freezes for a long time.

- Restarting computer opens up BIOS (unless she waits for computer to unfreeze)
- Full disk space usage was an issue a while ago, but she's unsure if that's the cause
- Best Buy tried fixing and failed

She said she can't access her specs because her computer refuses to.

She can't login into her computer because the login page is unresponsive.
