MC server console share

Go to solution Solved by Nik schaad,

I used openSSH

So here's the deal, i have a server setup in my room next to my pc.

Server specs:

Linux ubuntu 20.04

i5-6500

8GB DDR4 2133Mhz single channel

160GB HDD

Asus b150m-a

(dont tell me about the hdd and the single channel, i got this thing for free on ebay)

On this server i'm hosting a minecraft SMP server for my friend and thats all working perfectly fine but the thing is, i wonder if its possible to "Share" the console. As in give him access to the console and let turn on and off the server whenever he needs it (I turn off the server at 00:00 to save electricity) because rn all he can do is DM me on discord or msg me through whatsapp to notify me that the server must go online. does anyone have any options? i've got the most basic of network knowledge, i dont know what TCP or UDP means i just know what to fill in where and i can help myself around with the right google searches

Edit: I know my way around pc's and how to build or troubleshoot them and i know some code languages if that helps(HTML, basic css, basic JS, basic C++)
