Hey friends! I'm planning on my first build to start ASAP and wondered if anyone could check over my plan. I mainly want it for gaming/Twitch streaming, maybe mild video editing later down the line. I can't afford much now and am going for the best bang for my buck, but I also want to be sure I can easily upgrade later. I'm getting the GPU from a friend that's upgraded, I do know I want to upgrade that later when I can actually get my hands on one for less than the price of my kidneys.

Budget (including currency): $1000 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming/Streaming to Twitch. I know I want to play Dead by Daylight, Sea of Thieves, maybe the new Resident Evil, but the more games it can play the better!

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Currently I'm on a Lenovo ideapad 330. The last desktop I had was about 15 years ago and the only PC gaming I did then was the Sims. I have an old mouse and keyboard from that desktop that'll do for now, though any recommendations are welcome. I do also need a new monitor.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz

COOLER: Stock Cooler

Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M DS3H

RAM: Crucial Ballistic 16 GB DDR4-3200

Storage: Crucial P2 500 GB

GPU: GeForce GTX 1070 Ti

Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400A

PSY: EVGA GD 600W 80+ Gold

Consider the 5600X, due to its much better gaming performance. You don’t need 8 cores.
The Motherboard isn’t great but it should be okay.

Good RAM choice.

The 1070ti is still a good card, but if it’s not used then I wouldn’t buy one, but you are getting it from a friend. Good deal here.

Great case choice.

The EVGA GD series aren’t great. Consider the Antec NeoEcoGold ZEN, or the Corsair CX450/550. The 1070ti doesn’t draw much power, you could get away with a decent 450E unit.

Noted, I'll look into the 5600X and changing the PSU. I will say I was looking at higher wattage with future upgrades in mind as well.
