Hello,

It has been few weeks since I started having the problem. The problem is that while I am playing (overwatch at 2k res medium settings) the pc freezes I see a drop in GPU usages from 20% to sometimes 50%, I tried updating drivers, reinstalling drivers, formatting windows, changing the hardware, changing the bio, updating the bios, and installing the newest chipset of AMD cpu, but the problem still persist. Even after three weeks I borrowed a friends pc and after two days of using it, I started having the same problem. The GPU drop doesn't feel like fps drop, it feels like the whole pc freezes, sometimes the problem occurs outside of games, like while working on word document or browser the internet.

My pc is:

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x

GPU: RTX 3060 ASUS TUF

ram (2x8gb) vengeance LPX

motherboard x570 AORUS elite WIFI

SSD: Samsung 970 Evo plus 1 TB

the borrowed pc:

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x

GPU: RTX 3070 Gigabyte OC

ram (2x8gb) corsair vengeance RGB PRO

motherboard B550-F Asus rog Strix gaming WIFI

SSD: Samsung 970 Evo plus 1 TB

Attached to this post is two examples of GPU usage drop.

So I tried synthetic load before, and I had the same problem in my pc. But when I plugged the RTX 3060 on my friends pc for few days and it was working fine, and his RTX 3070 on my hardware has the same problem. So I thought the problem is from my motherboard or ram, but just 2 days ago I started using his PC and last night I had the same problem again with his hardware, his pc was working perfectly for 2 months before I used it.

I found the problem I think, when personalize background (slideshow with pictures I downloaded from the internet) instead of the stock windows images I started having the problem. I switched from back to the stock images and the problem ended. Is there a solution for this problem?

My psu is 850, borrowed pc is 750.
