having sound issues

okay so this is what is happening, I start up my system and I will 9/10 have sound and I can spend hours watching videos and listening to music and the sound will work fine. but when I have no audio playing then sound will randomly cut out and the next time I start audio up I have no sound then I have to restart my PC. I can't figure out what is causing this to happen, it has good and bad days with this to day was just a really bad day and it got on my nerves enough for me to attempt to find a solution.

try reinstalling the razer surround device, and also make sure your realtek drivers are up to date.
