Budget: 15.000 - 25.000 DKK

Country: Denmark

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft with heavy shaders, mods and stuff, rocket league, and probably a bunch of other games, at some point probably some video editing and streaming and also 3D designing in Fusion 360.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Parts list:

Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2 White

Motherboard: NZXT N7 B550 White

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X

GPU: Probably the Asus ROG Strix Radeon RX 6800 OC Edition (if i can get my hands on it)

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Rgb 2x16gb 3600 MHz Cl14

SSD: Samsung 980 pro 2tb

Power supply: Corsair AX850

CPU cooler: NZXT Kraken Z73

Fan upgrade (later): 9x Noctua NF-A14 PWM chromax.black.swap

Peripherals:

I haven’t really decided on any peripherals yet, except the mouse, which is going to be the Glorious Model O wireless and the headset which i already have, which is the Arctis Pro Wireless

what am I upgrading from?:
I am upgrading from an 8th gen Intel Powered Lenovo Yoga laptop with 8gb of soldered ram and the integrated graphics

The reason for my big budget is because over here in Denmark, almost everything is at least 25% more expensive (normally more like 30% but often more than that) than in the US (if we count on the MSRP prices) for example the Asus Rog Strix OC 3070 cost around 8000DKK ($1400) here in Denmark, it’s insane

Planning to Buy:

I am planning on buying when I reach my budget, currently I have 13.000DKK on my bank account and I am earning right around 1000-1500DKK pr. Month, so it is going to take a while, but hopefully when I’ve gotten the money, the GPUs have fallen in price

Resolution:
I am probably going to play at 1080p and 1440p not so much 4K, because I like high frame rates

Refresh Rate:

I would like the refresh rate as high as possible, at least 144Hz preferably higher,

Are there any monitors you can recommend?

By the way. I am 15 years old

First of all, a point on budgeting.

I find that parts from the best online stores in the EU are roughly the same price as US counterparts, maybe with a 10% higher price. Especially if you are spending such a large sum, like 3-4 thousand €, you might want to look at retailers in Germany to get your parts from. https://www.mindfactory.de/ is a great site, and if you have maybe a friend or family in Germany that could ship you the parts, that would save you hundreds of Euros. But even if you can't do that, sites like https://www.caseking.de/ will get you parts much cheaper and should ship to Denmark. I AM NOT PAID OR ENDORSED BY THESE SITES. There are other just as good, I jsut have the msot experience with these 2 and have had no issues ordering from them.

That being said, there is one elephant in the room, which are Graphics cards. GPU's are currently twice ore even three times as expensive as they "should" be. This is due to a global shortage in chip production and cryptocurrency mining. Cryptominers create virtual money, like Bitcoin and Etherium using GPU's which means that lots of people buy these cards for mining. This means that there are simply not enough cards for everyone and they become more expensive. The Card you mentioned, 3070, is selling for similarly high prices everywhere in the world.

The build you have put together should cost you around 1800€ without the graphics card, and probably around 2500€ if you get a reasonable price on the GPU. Together with another 500ish € for peripherals and you are only on the low end of the budget you proposed.

That being said, I think it is important to stress, this computer is complete OVERKILL, for the tasks you have mentioned. Many of the choices you made mean, that that you are paying lots of money for very very small or non-existent performance upgrades. A computer 1000€ cheaper would probably perform identically in the tasks you have outlined.

This is a decision YOU need to make, if spending this much money on what are essentially luxury items, is what you want, then go ahead it is your money. But if not, and you have other things you would rather spend the money on, we can give you some pointers how to save money, without sacrificing performance.

To illustrate what I mean:

You are currently paying 240€ for your motherboard, 250€ for your cooler and 180€ for your PSU.

You could get a 150€ motherboard, 60€ air cooler and 90€ PSU, with no real noticeable impact on performance.

You are paying 300€ just so things look cool, just on these 3 components.

Again, if you want this, this is fine. If you want a Ferrari, buy one, but it will not perform any differently than a Volvo on normal roads with speed limits.

For example this build:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 50.5 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory
Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
Storage: Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2 ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair RM (2019) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Should cost you around 11.000 dkk, and would not perform noticeably different from the one you proposed. The only difference you would notice at a glance, would be taht your programs and OS would be on a separate drive from your files, which really should not make any difference.
