B550 and 3600 cpu

I am aware this might be a dumb question but will a Ryzen 5 3600 work with a B550 without a bios update if it's a brand new motherboard. I am ok doing bios updates but just want to know before I buy it so I can prepare

A lot of B450 mobos support ryzen 3000 series out of the box, I think B550 also did, but someone else will need to confirm it.

If the listing has pictures that show the motherboard box, check if you can see a Ryzen 3000 Badge on it.

B550 will always support Zen 2 out of the box.
