First pc build (I'm new)

kirk32

Budget (including currency): around 1700 USD

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Flight sim, valorant, Minecraft, GTA 5, and other games like that.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

All I have this far is a 2080 "which I will most likely upgrade to a 3080 when they are reasonable", a 75hz monitor and a Duckie one 2 mini. I'm very new to pc's and I wanted to see other peoples opinions and suggestions on my build.

Here is the link to my Pc part picker page.

This will work well, but just so you know that 1600 dollars doesn't include the video card.

don't get 3000 series ryzen. Only the 5000 series is good. At this point, you should get a 10700K. The argb is all controllable via msi mystic light. The fans, cpu cooler, ram, and even the motherboard has rgb. You might want to swap out the founder's edition gpu for the tuf oc version. This will be more than enough for ALL of your needs. it is also under 1700 dollars, with gpu included (although the parts list does not include gpu price, I added up the msrp prices of all the components). This is a beastly rig for overclocking and gaming. I only used parts that come from companies that are widely known and reliable. (don't buy windows 10 for 100 dollars, get a cheap key from ebay or something)

not true at all, the 3000 series is still excellent, sure, the 3600 isn't msrp anymore, but at msrp, the 3600 is better value than the 5600x

my signiture was cool, but its a lie now

Don’t use a hyper 212 for a 10700k because you will not get the full potential out of your processor. that chip runs at 125 watts and the  hyper 212 has a 150w tdp, but the 125 watts of the processor is when it’s at its base clock. If you want to boost to 5.1 ghz, you need a very beefy air cooler or an AIO. Also I would get 750-850w for the 3070. go to kinguin.net and find a windows 10 key for around 40 bucks.
