Best speakers under $50

I need new desktop speakers for my SO's computer. Budget is $50

What can you recommend?

Sorry if this gets asked to death.

I guess you want to get active speakers, not passive ones with an external amp.

I would actually recommend getting used Edifier 1280T (DB models are the same in terms of  sound but feature bluetooth and optical input) I own the DB ones and they are a great value. They go for around 70-75€ on sale where I live and there are plenty used ones for available. Of course this could differ in other regions. I would avoid those small 2.1 "desktop" speaker systems if they want to listen to music.

We got a referb set because they were a little out of our price range new. Thank you so much!
