 Since this build is meant to be pretty basic, I didnt see the need in a fancy GPU, while Integrated GPUs are fine, its probably better to get something like the GT 1030 for better video encoding. Plus with a 10400F CPU, this PC should last you a LONG time. The NVMe storage does seem small at only 256GB but considering what you are using it for, it should be fine, if not, you do have another $100 to add as much storage as you like.

Main PC | AMD R7 3700X | Noctua D14 | MSI RTX 2080 Super XS OC | Corsair Vengence LPX 32GB DDR4 3200MHz | MSI B550A Pro | 1TB PNY XLR8 NVMe SSD | Kingston A400 960GB SSD | 2TB Western Digital Green HDD | Fractal Design Define R6TG |

Laptop (Asus TUF FX505DY) | AMD R5 3550H | RX560X | Crucial DDR4 16GB 2400MHz | Western Digital SN550 256GB SSD | PNY CS900 960GB SSD |

Phone | Samsung S10 Lite (128GB + 128GB SD card) |

Other Cool Stuff | Steam Link | Sontronics Podcast Pro | NZXT Hue+ | Corsair K70 MK 2 (MX Brown) | Logitech G402 | HiSense A7300 43 Inch 4K TV | Logitech C920 | Ender 3 Pro with Bulleye Fan duct and BLTouch |Sony PS4 | Nintendo Switch

Screw my build, this is way better. Better efficiency, lower cost, more storage, better in pretty much every way, except for the video encoding, this will use integrated graphics but still way better than my one.

The GT 1030 is HORRIBLE value at 188 USD, heck its bad even at its MSRP

Low End Graphics Card are S**t. Anyway, congrats on basically squeezing so much power off a full set. As dave says, save up for a good midrange GPU like a 3060Ti and that PC is basically complete.

I was thinking to grab good peripherals, and then grab a good computer. But what @davemcbuilt pretty much smoke what i got in mind. The thing i would change from his build is to grab a basic keyboard, and get a good 144hz monitor and a decent can of headphones.

$200 for a gt 1030!!!

For that price you could upgrade a 10850k and use integrated graphics.

But isn't even an older GTX 1050 Ti way better than any integrated graphics? At least that's what benchmarks say.

So not sure why people say these older GPUs are shit. Compared to iGPUs they surely aren't.

Depends on your terms of reference.

@SorryClaire

@davemc

I can see MSI GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti 4GT OC, 4GB GDDR5, 128-bit in my country going for about 300 bucks.

Is that bad value for money or somewhat acceptable considering how inflated prices are right now.

LE. On NewEgg this model is more than double (642). So I might have found a good price, though you never know what's the catch.

Absolutely. I can still find 1050Ti's at 150-200, thats more reasonable compared to that 300$.
