hey everyone,

I have the Microlab FC530U 2.1 (I think) and one of the speakers stopped working. I tried to switch between the cables that connect to the subwoofer (Thats the name of the .1 in 2.1 right?) and the 2nd speaker started working while the first one stopped.

As I see it, the problem occurs from the subwoofer and the speakers are fine. Am I right?

Is there any way to fix this problem before buying new audio equipment?

Well, if there is nothing to do about it than there are two options: buy new speakers or a subwoofer.

my budget for new speakers is 200$ tops and it will connect to my pc to play games and watch content.

I saw a lot of positive reviews on the Edifier R1280DB and they fit my budget. Is it a good option or I should invest in something better?

Also, If buying a subwoofer and connecting the old speakers is an option, can I get a okay one (at least that compares to my old one) within my budget?
