Gaming headset recommendations?

Beep or Boop

Hey guys, I've been using Logitech G933 and G935 and am struggling to figure out if they are worth it. I've been through 2 G933's and upgraded to a G935. With my current headset being G935, I'm still encountering disconnects here and there. And the quality of the plastic/build quality is still annoying with the squeaking of the plastic being super annoying. I've been getting into Escape From Tarkov more and more where sound is super crucial. And I don't know if I'm hindering myself from good sound quality using these. I prefer wireless but doesn't have to be. Any recommendations and anything else would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve been using the HyperX cloud alphas for about a year and a half now and honestly I don’t see any wear, they are in perfect condition and I’ve been using the detachable mic throughout most of my time with it. They also just released the cloud alpha s so that might be worth taking a look into

You're wasting so much money on gaming headsets from those brands such as Logitech. Get audio from audio manufacturers and keyboards from keyboard manufacturers. There are exceptions here and there. The HyperX cloud 2's and the MH752's are one of them. Why? They are reskins from already built studio monitor headphones with a mic attached. Unlike all the bad gaming headset from Razer, Logitech or Steelseries. What did you expect from a pair of overpriced plasticy headphones from Logitech? The Cooler Master MH752's are probably the best headset you can buy for the money and the mic isn't horrendous as headsets tend to have a really bad mic. What is your budget tho?

PM or DM me if you have any questions about audio.

At the moment i'm just trying to figure out a range of headsets, their pro's and con's and trying to figure it out from there.

Okay, pros of MH752:

One of the best mics for the price (if you care about that)

Really good tuned drivers

Great comfort (tried my friend's)

A bit worse build quality than Clouds (but lighter)

Cons:

7.1 surround option since 7.1 surround in headsets is trash anyways.

HyperX cloud 2's

Pros:

(Kind of) good tuned drivers (too bassy and a huge downspike in treble)

Good comfort (pads are worse than the MH752's IMO, also tried from one of my friend's)

Bit better build quality

Cons:

Bad mic

Too much bass and mushier than the MH752's

TL;DR If you want sound quality, MH752's. Build goes to the Cloud 2's. Build isn't that different and the MH752's are still definitely sturdy compared to most gaming headsets even at the $200 pricepoint.

If you want other recommendations other than gaming headsets and want to improve your audio quality even more you can start looking at studio or "audiophile" headphones with a seperate mic. For example, the ones I am using, the Fidelio X2HR and for that you can get a 3.5mm mic/cable combo such as the Vmoda boom pro that can be inserted into the headphones and turn them into a headset. Another headphone from Philips are the SHP 9500 or 9600 which you could call a little brother to the X2HR's. Much more value for what you are paying rather than getting a gaming headsets. No BS features or unneccesary design just plain good audio fidelity and that is what you pay for.

Let's say I were to purchase the cloud 2 or MH752. Would I see any audio quality increase? Or would it just be more build quality and comfort?

Audio is subjective, BUT the MH752's are tuned better for a more balanced sound. The MH in this case sound more clean and detailed.

So in your opinion how would you describe the difference from your non "gaming" headset to the MH752's audio quality wise? I hear people say "I swapped to Headset A to Headset B and it was a night and day difference for hearing footsteps".
