First time folding fail

So I went to the main site and downloaded the program.  I double clicked it, tried to run as admin etc but nothing happened so I figured oh well move on right?  Well I noticed playing league of legends that my CPU usage was at 100% and my core temps were around 70*C.  Now I have an I7-2600k @ 4.2GHz with an evo 212 so naturally I was flipping out.  Task manager showed only chrome and league was running.  However, under processes I saw the folding app running.  It's strange how much in the background it really is.  But I noticed it did not effect my performance at all!

Specs: Core I7-2600K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.35V, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance Black 1600MHz CL9, Cooler Master Evo 212, MSI Z77 Mpower Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X @ 1000/1400, Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue Edition w/ 3 Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 120MM fans (2 up top 1 in the bottom) replaced side panel with a window, and rear fan with a Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 140MM, Cooler Master GX 650 80+ Bronze PSU, Samsung DVD-RW, Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD, Seagate 750GB SATA III 7200RPM

What is folding?

Folding is a project started by Stanford University. Folding teams are groups of people who leave their computers on with folding software too calculate how proteins fold. The data collected includes potential cures for diseases such as Alzheimer's, cancer, and Parkinson's.

Folding is also very processor heavy and can be used for benchmarking.

Take a look on hidden icons at the tray and the F@H icon should be there (if it isn't there, run F@H client as admin), right click and select advanced mode. You'll get full control over the client, make sure you log in a username, team number (223518 for ltt team), and a passkey (more info in stickies). There is a slider that controls the client's pc usage. At full it'll use 100% of the cpu and the gpu. At medium it'll use 100% of the cpu and when idle 100% of the gpu. When gaming set it to off, so it wont lag.
