Sorry for the long story but I'm needing help.

I got a new drive today and I think it's possibly already faulty. A 1tb wd black sn750 nvme m.2 pci-e gen 3.

I installed it and it tested ok. Speeds were around expected levels. I had this brilliant idea about cloning my os to the drive and using it as my os drive. So I did that. Reboot and checked it out and everything was ok so I wiped the source drive then reboot my computer to test loading times and that's when it all went wrong.

When I reboot my computer I got a blue error screen. Not the usual recovery screen. A different one. It had an error message stating it couldnt access the device. I stepped out the room to get something, came back and my pc was switched off. When I switched it back on it went straight into the bios. The boot led was lit up on the mother board. I checked but the drive wasnt showing in the bios. So I reboot my computer a couple of times and it eventually showed up again.

The long and the short of it is, when I boot my computer it sometimes shows, it sometimes doesnt. I installed windows on my older drive and used that to go in and recover my data from it. I was able to get everything I needed. The dodgy drive performed well and did the job. It's still running atm. The system is up and the drive is usable. It's hard to believe there is something wrong with it.

I'm going to try using my windows usb to wipe the drive and try and Install windows on it. It's wishful thinking but maybe the clone messed the drive up.
