Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I bought a Radeon 5700XT from best buy in December (somehow) so that is not included in the budget, nor. needed.

I also dont need a monitor or any other peripherals.

Consider the 5600X or 11600k, but good job overall.

My alternative to this, if you dont mind less RGB Vomit:

 

Better processor, more storage, and a less overkill PSU. My change from this build would be to discard the Aer RGB fan for the exhaust, move 1 fan from the P500A included 3 fans at the front to the back for exhaust, and get bigger non modular PSU.

Dang, $20 over my original with tons more storage, and a better processor..... seems like witchcraft. thanks for the input... might have to rework some of this for sure. 😅

Close to what I'd do, but not exact.

Same performance, room for upgrades down the line. How much storage he wants is up to him
