Mid range gaming/editing pc

I have decided i want to document my build and i just ordered most of the parts, so i figured i would make this post.

I would say up the ram to 32GB, other than that you're good

Instead of upgrading the ram, I'd pick a 660ti instead of the 660, mostly because its realy better in games and it also has more cuda cores

if your doing a lot of video editing, you might want to get a bigger HDD, unless you have a separate server for all your stuff, then you should get an SSD

and what app is rendering and editing the vids?

 

if anything other than adobe, use the 7950 cards for the memory band-width.

freakishly small speed RAM. again, depending on app used, you might find

a lot of 99% hangs and then error. im using a 8350 and you got to really lean

on the overclocking to make this productivity side work on these processors.

using adobe on SLI 660ti 3gb cards and the intel has crushed the 8350 with

productivity. at least 25% better rendering time, less errors on render and can

manipulate after effects easier with intel than the 8350.

when using vegas, stick to the AMD GPU cards. no CUDA support all OPEN/GL.

price-wise a better need for over all experience. you don't have to run the 8350

as hard on overclock like the adobe, but quality and editing is hindered.
