MoCA + switch issues

connecting devices directly to the GOCOAX MoCA gives me no issues, internet works perfectly

when i connect the MoCA to the NETGEAR 5-port switch it doesnt detect the internet 

do i need a different switch or am i doing something wrong?

nevermind, just letting it sit for 15 minutes while i was searching for a solution and everything suddenly connected
