i3 6100 upgrade?

I have a PC that has an i3 6100 alone. Besides the CPU, nothing else is important. I wanna give the PC to my brother but I want to make it decent at least for gaming. He is eager to play games like valorant and fortnite. What GPU should I consider buying? Thanks.

probably a 1650 or 1050ti or something along those lines as the i3 would probably not handle anthing above a 1650 super. buts that my guess

You probably wont find a gpu at a msrp right now, but a 1650 super sounds nice for this setup probably without suffering a bottleneck from the CPU.
