New pc won`t boot

Hello I just built a gaming pc and it simply just wont display anything. 

the pc specs are Asus A320 Motherboard Bios updated to support 3rd gen ryzen 

ryzen 5 3500x 

8gbx2 Ram

600 watt PSU 

Gtx 970 

It simply wont show any display I connected directly to the graphics cards HDMI port and nothing and i have unplugged my ram and graphics card 3 times now.

Details 

All fans spinning 

lights on

I'm using a monitor 

the graphics card was working on my friends computer before being shipped to me. 

the pci slot and the pcie connector are plugged in with the clips locked.

Does your mobo have an error LED or Speaker? The flashes/code/beeps can indicate what is wrong

Did you plug power into the GPU?

(yes, a dumb question, but we've seen this issue here before, so, I'm asking)
