are you planning anew build? what will you be doing on it (games, which games, editing, ect) what monitor resolution do you plan on using, and are you willing to use integrated graphics until the marketis normal.

If that is all you are looking to play, then there are a lot of things that can accomplish that. What are your thoughts on a laptop? Do you absolutely want a desktop? Because there are plenty of laptops that would fall in your budget.  If you go the laptop route, you could just buy a keyboard and mouse and use a monitor with it.

It does, but they both have to be plugged in to the wall at some point. The charger for the laptop would probably be just as big if not smaller, so you could just leave it plugged in all the time. Plus, if you ever want to go to a friends house to game or something, you have the option of having a battery and more portable computer.

This is what I would recommend, and if you want you can add an Nvidia Quadro M2000 graphics card (link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Nvidia-Quadro-M2000-W2TP6-4GB-GDDR5-PCIe-4-Port-Video-Graphics-Card/193946508388?hash=item2d281cdc64%3Ag%3AgsMAAOSwlzteg8Lu&LH_BIN=1) which would be better than the built in graphics card on the CPU or Processor. The built in graphics card can play Roblox and Minecraft at 60 FPS easily, while in Fortnite you may have to turn down the settings to achieve 60 FPS.

If you opt to purchase the Quadro M2000 as well, you will be able to easily play all 3 games at 60 FPS easily. The Quadro M2000 is a solid option during this shortage.

Right now isn't really the best time to build a gaming PC as there is a huge shortage of graphics cards, but luckily for the games you said you'd play you don't need graphics that are super strong, so you can probably get away with Ryzen 5 integrated graphics.

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G 3.7 GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($275.00 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($71.98 @ Amazon)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory  ($88.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Sabrent Rocket 4.0 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive  ($89.98 @ Amazon)
Case: Corsair 275Q ATX Mid Tower Case  ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: be quiet! Pure Power 11 500 W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply  ($69.90 @ Amazon)
Total: $675.84
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

You can easily add a graphics card to this later when the prices go down.

I'd go with this and the M2000, more upgrade path and more performance.

I fully agree, but it's the cheapest CPU with Vega 11 on PCPartPicker, so..

I'd probably go with davemc's list along with the graphics card he linked. I'd recommend changing the power supply or storage to the ones in my build, but that would be 90$ extra; it's up to you there
