Cpu pins bent

jekk

Some of my cpu pins got bent (by my own stupidity) and I do not trust myself to try and bend them back. What should I do? (At the moment I do not have it, I tried to return it to Newegg but they rejected it just today and they are going to ship it back).

Pay someone to do it if you don't want to. Like a local repair shop or something.

Learn to trust yourself. There aren't many places I can think of that do fix bent CPU pins. There might be some local place around you that does, but those can be hard to come by depending on where you live. It's not that hard to fix them, a razor blade, a magnifying glass, and a mostly steady hand are all you really need.

Depends on the CPU. If its an AMD CPU I'd say get a razor blade and bend them back yourself. Its not that hard and the pins are quite resiliant.
