Pc build from hell

So I come to you all after 2 weeks of troubleshooting and Scouring the web to figure out my problem. I have an AORUS z490 master, intel i9, nzxt kraken x63, and a h510 elite for the case. I have taken this nightmare of a pc 3 times and put it back together... the psu works in other computers I have so it’s not that. The motherboard has 2 cpu power slots and when I didn’t have both plugged in the computer would click on power up and the flash a red cpu light. Plugged in the other cpu power cable and the light went away, now when I go to plug in the pc the rgb on the ram lights up but when I hit the power button the rgb on the rams shuts off, the computer makes a clicking noise, and nothing happens. I’m stumped and have no idea what to do at this point. Hopefully someone smarter than me can help out

Sounds like a short.

Pull the system out of the case, put it on something like a phonebook, and see if you can power it up.
