So, I recently went from 2x8gb to 4x8gb, same brand, same kit, exact same,(gotten a year after the first kit) but I've been having constant issues since, plenty of BSOD, both at the very start of windows booting, and also after windows has booted and been working for some time. I really don't know what to do, I've been getting a lot of different error codes, Windows saying things are missing, and plenty of guides online have seemed to be very little help or no help at all. Any help is very helpful as I'm completely lost and not able to use my computer now.

Make sure the sticks are seeded properly. If they are, then likely one of your new sticks is defective (I had this issue too back in 2013)

Yes, I've made sure that they're all put in correctly, still have issues, I think the ram is just too different, after looking at the ram on both of them, despite being the same brand, make, etc. I believe they were made too far apart, one is v 4.32, the other newer ram is v 8.31

Thats it.
The IC's they have would probrably be different and not compatable with each other.
Get a matched set and you should be OK.

Alright well thanks for that help then, I'm just going to go back to 2x8gb for now so the pc is atleast usable, see if I can get a return on the newer ram, and see if there's any way I could find the ram at that version I have (I'd assume I probably wouldn't be able to) so probably will just save up a bit more, say fuck the older ram, and get 2x16gb

You'll probrably wind up buying a new set so that would be the way to go.
That way it's new and has a warranty behind it "Just in case".
