Laptop suggestion

I have narrowed my search to these two laptops that fit my budget, which of these two would you recommend?

 

I don't game that often, even if I do it's Minecraft or KSP, nothing else my main work focuses on coding, simulations and cad work.

while the gpu on the second one is better, Id still advise for the first Ryzen one. Its cpu is a beast, and overall really nice built.

The acer doesnt look bad either, though it will be more noisy.

If you don’t plan on gaming like you say I would go for the AMD laptop as it has 2 more cores and 4 more threads than the Acer and since the 4900HS laptop still has a decent GPU you can game if you feel like it. However if you do decide that you want to run higher end games I would go for the Acer laptop.

Considering your requirements id pick the Ryzen system. The processor is better with lower thermal output, and the GPU is good enough for your gaming needs as well. Although if you want to do any more gaming than that (playing AAA games especially) going with the RTX 3060 will be much better. Pick carefully!
