I'm building a future proof-ish mid range gaming PC, but my issue is PSU, right now I'm aiming for the Corsair RM650 80+ Gold, I found it for 210 USD taxes + shipping included, Is that a good price to get it for, or are there other alternatives.

The build so far:

CPU: 3400g (in terms of processing power this is more than enough for gaming, it won't bottleneck any mid range GPUs, and the VEGA 11 afaik is the best iGPU so far)

RAM: Crucial Ballistix 2x 8Gb 3200MHz

MBD: Asus Prime B550M-K

SSD: Crucial MX500 1Tb

Case: Cougar MG 120G (cheap case, with 3.5in bay, so even a non modular PSU won't mess up the aesthetics)

Getting a GPU right now is crazy, I was hoping to get a 3060Ti or a 3060, but the ones I found go for around 1000 USD. Until the prices go down, I'll settle for Vega 11.

Any feedback is welcome.

Thanks.

Budget, currency, what you're going to do with it.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

B550 doesn't natively support Zen+ APUs, and the 3400G isn't on the support list of the board

Are you getting the 3400G for a good price? They've become expensive lately.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Budget: MAX 1500 USD Taxes included (with the GPU)

I'll use it mainly for Gaming,

With GPU: 1080P, low Graphics isn't a problem, all effects is a must, and 0.1% lowest shouldn't go under 30 fps on basically every game that's out.

I found the 3400G for 190 USD taxes + shipping included

And for the MDB, do you think I should go for a B450? or should I keep the B550 mainly for the PCIe 4.0 and get a Cheap GPU, the GT730 Is garbage but goes for 65 USD taxes included?

Pretty easy to fit that budget

PCIe 4.0 is useful for people who move massive files and need super fast drives, but not really for gamers. B450 boards are still plenty good.

Even with an overpriced CPU you can save a ton of room in the budget for the GPU.

firstly, b550 boards don't support ryzen 2000 and 3000 series APUS.

secondly, it's not worth paying 200 on the rm650. what local alternatives do you have?

The local alternatives I found so far at Non modular Cooler Master MWE Bronze 650W V2 105 USD all included and Cooler Master MWE Bronze 750W V2 130 USD all included.
