Hi 馃檪

I am currently shopping for several ATX PSUs for new PCs that will most likely be running AMD 5000 CPUs on an X570 board (2x 4+4 pins required? Or at least 1x4 + 1x 4+4 for CPU power), a single M.2 SSD, 4 sticks of RAM and a low-mid tier GPU (something like an Rx590, 5600XT or GTX 1660).

I guess I don't need anything fancy but I'm looking for something affordable while still reliable. (The only PSU that ever died in my hands was a 80 PLUS Gold "gamer" PSU. Don't remember the brand).

I want something modular (not necessarily fully modular) for convenience.

I'm currently looking at the following (prices in my region):

聽- ($87) Chieftec Polaris, 550W, 80 PLUS gold (I already have several of the 750W variant and they didn't cause any issue, yet)

聽- ($89) Seasonic Focus GX, 550W, 80 PLUS gold

聽- ($79) Corsair CX-F RGB series CX650F, 650W, 80 PLUS bronze (on sale! limited availability)

The last one is the "cheaper" option, but I don't know if it's worth saving the $10 and getting 100W more while going a little less efficient.

I don't care much about RGB obviously but it's not something I necessarily hate either.

Pleases let me know what you would recommend.

Best,

-a-

Not that efficiency and quality are related, they're not, but Corsair CX-F is technically 80+ Gold PSU, it was marketed 80+ Bronze to not cannibalize other 80+ Gold Corsair options. Go for it.
