WiFi Issues

So recently switched from being directly connected to my router through ethernet to be connected to an extender instead. I've had issues were I'll randomly disconnect occasionally. Sometimes it will happen often and othertimes not at all. The disconnects are always really short, couple seconds at the most. Does this just have something to do with the nature of the wifi extender itself or could it be something else? Right now I'm looking into getting my drivers up to date with DriverEasy since I had a friend recommend it but an ideas people have out there would help.

Completely different. I'm on a desktop not a laptop, and my issues seem to be with my wifi extender. As I said I use to have an ethernet going directly to the router and now instead it goes to the wifi extender. I just can't figure out why I'll have a couple seconds of disconnect from the wifi extender and how it's super inconsistent with these disconnects.
