Fixed Bracket, Options?

NOXA

Hello,

I'm in a bit of a pickle. My pre-build rig, Omen 830-130 reaches 94 at full load after an hour. I changed the thermal paste, and it barely helped. So I purchased a Fuma 2. I took everything apart and saw that I couldn't remove the mounting bracket on the motherboard — it's like fucking glued to the motherboard (I did remove the front screws that hold the retention bracket). I am also unable to just make due because the screws on the AIO cooler that came with the desktop are too small, meaning the Fuma 2's screws are too big.

What are my options here? Is there a way for me to identify a cooler that could work with this bracket?

Thank you for your time!

You don't really have options. OEMs are good for certain things, like having full build now and full warranty for it. But upgrading is pain as they tend to use proprietary hardware. Most likely what you are seeing here too. If you can't remove the current cooler, then there's nothing you can do.

And HP is one that seems to over love proprietary hardware, connectors, motherboard shape...

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.
