Monitor turns on but doesn't display anything

I've tried 3 different hdmi cables, unplugged peripherals, turned both the monitor and pc on and off. Everything is plugged in properly and it was working earlier. It stopped working when I unplugged everything and layed the monitor on my bed. I could use a different monitor so it wasn't the pc or anything. Did I damage the monitor or is something else wrong with it?
