GPU swap no video

My friend has a HP pavilion gaming PC with a r5 3600 and a 1650s. I have a OC Quadro m4000 and a Xeon e3 1270 v5. I wanted to try and test out my Quadro with his cpu to see if I would get a significant fps boost if I were to upgrade my cpu, but we couldn't get my Quadro to work in his PC. I'm confused as his PC works just fine with the 1650s and my Quadro works in my PC. They both require 6pin power. Does anyone know what the issue could be?
