Ways To Remove Thermal Paste?

I have no rubbing alcohol here and I'm abit strapped for cash, can I just wipe it off with some pads and aftershave or is that suicidal?

If you must, try the vodka with the highest percentage. Nothing flavored though.

hmm, think I better just wait till the electronic store opens n c if they got some, thing is it's like £10 on the website, which is alot of money to spend on cleaning paste off a CPU, I'm not a fan of ordering things online unless it's something I can't get local either. Ok thanks

Some computer stores might carry Arctic Silver's two-step cleaning solution, but, of course, high purity isopropyl rubbing alcohol also does the job. Even if you're low on cash, I wouldn't advise getting creative when cleaning off expensive hardware.

I managed to do it now with out any form of liquid, quite fortunate really. . . :) thanks dudes
