gpu with no markings

my freind bought it off of ebay, it had a aio on it, suppossedly this card is an xfx r9 390 8gb. card heats up when turned on but no display output.

ive tried it in 3 different systems with no success, it does have a switch to change the bios, though neither setting results in a video output

I'm gonna go ahead and say that this card is dead. I had a Radeon XFX R7 once and that just randomly died on me as well. I guess these things are either prone to death or we are both doing something wrong.

yeah but that still doesnt explain why the gpu die is completely blank

I've seen GPUs with no markings before, usually older and more obscure ones. I am no expert in tracking down information like this, but i'd say pop it into the secondary slot along with another GPU and see if any information shows up in GPU-Z.

my pc seems to not want to boot when i do that

Then I wouldn't consider that worth your time if I were you. It is clearly more dead than there is even a point of trying to figure out anything about it. Especially considering its age.

idk just curious, my freind had me replace it and jut let me keepthis so idk what to do with it
