Hello, I'm wondering if there is a BIOS variable that controls the "CPU High Temperature Clock Limit" value that's displayed in HWiNFO.

my CPU is a 5800X, and i have a X570 Asus TUF Pro mobo.

(i don't care if my CPU dies. i'm happy to replace it with a 5900X if it does.)

They are pretty tough, mines been over 100c by accident once or twice.. and today it crashed while benching not sure if it was overcurrent or temps 😄

Probably both. The good cores are in the bigger CPU's I think.. Still kinda kicking myself a little for not getting one.. oh well.

but in any case here:

Ai Tweaker -> Precision Boost drive -> Platform Throttle limit  set it to disabled.......

"platform thermal throttle limit" - I have only two options for that: Auto or Manual

Setting it to manual i tried two values, 99 and 111, and it did not change the "CPU High Temperature Clock Limit" value that's displayed in HWiNFO
