I need to upgrade my cpu and stuff because i got a 1080p 280hz monitor and i am cpu limited way before i can get to that framerate in most games.

My current system:

amd ryzen 5 2600 overclock to 3.7ghz (runs at 70-75c full load)

8gb ddr4 2666 2x4

b450m ds3h mobo

evga gtx 970 (+100 core, +600 vram)

Ik ill probably also be gpu limited before i can reach 280hz but i plan on upgrading that too when gpu stock becomes less of a trainwreck

i need to know if these are a good choice of parts to upgrade to

Yeah, look's perfectly fine to me. Great choice of motherboard. MSI has an amazing UEFI interface.

The RAM could be cheaper, but if you got the money for that extra RGB lightning then why not?
