So, i had 2 sticks of corsair dominator 8 Gb(16Gb total) 2400mhz and 2 sticks of 4Gb (8 total) 2133 mhz.. 

And wanted to use all four but thought maybe it wouldnt work since they were of different speeds.. i use a rampage black x79 MB..

i chucked them in and pressed mem-ok and booted up.. all 24gb were found .. ofcourse att default 1333mhz.. so went into bios, choosed xmp profile @ 2400.

And it all works .. 

 

are the ram modules maybe the same but just sold with diffents speeds/xmp profiles .. or have i actually overclocked the two 2133 modules.. 

its all stabil and nice.. used it for a week now with a lot of gaming and some stress tests..
