HDD STORAGE SSD BOOT + STORAGE

So heres what's up. I have a 1TB NVMe SSD and I have a 1TB HDD, I want to use the SSD as the Boot device (of course) and be able to use it for storage as well. I just don't understand how to correctly do so while also having the HDD as a storage, I've watched multiple videos ranging from NCIX to some 12 year old with a pc. I just don't get it. I need a whole explanation on how to correctly do that. Thank you.
