Wifi issue

Hi I was using my WIFI on 5G perfectly, using an intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168, and all of the sudden it doesn't work anymore. Last time this happened i uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them and that seemed to do the trick but that didn't work this time around. Let me know if any other information is needed to fix the issue.

my router crashed the other day, when it came back on, only 5g was working.

now, most dual band routers will prefer 2g over 5g due to signal strength, even if 5g is still 5x faster.

in my case, resetting router (and applying my settings again) got it working, but then xbox starting defaulting to 2g, so went on the router and blocked the xbox from 2g (achieved the same on pc by setting wifi mode to AC only.

not sure if this'll help, just my experience

Thanks for the help, with that being said i did have to reset my router today so ill go back and check those settings!

i changed my preferred band to 5g and it seems to work!
