New 3070 not getting better fps

hbsterling

I just got an asus tuf gaming rtx 3070 and every time I play warzone it has given me a 10 fps boost over my rx 580, getting like 70-80 fps. I just installed it and updated drivers so I am not sure if there is anything else I have to do?

cpu- ryzen 5 2600

32gb ram

Asus TUF B450M-PLUS GAMING Micro ATX

try running ddu, and then installing fresh drivers, see if that helps at all.

The issue is your CPU, it’s a bottle neck

Check your system load on MSI Afterburner and Task Manager. Its either CPU Bottleneck (which is unlikely because cod mw and warzone by proxy is pretty GPU bounded) or low usage overall.

I did the DDU fresh install. With warzone running a match task manager says GPU is at 10% usage and ASUS gpu tweak II gpu temp is 54 degrees and gpu clock is 1935 mhz. I do not know if I have to manually make my gpu run better?

This might be far fetched but double check that your card is in the pcie 3.0 slot, your mobo also has a 2.0 slot which will severely bottleneck a 3070.
