I bought this a few days ago:
accessories-cases LANCOOL II-2X | Side diffused LEDs strip exclusive for LANCOOL II (lian-li.com)
connected to this:
Amazon.com: RGB Convertor DEEPCOOL , 5V ADD-RGB to 12V RGB Transfer Hub, Motherboard with 12V 4-pin Header can Contorl 5V ADD-RGB Products, Non-Compatible with Asrock Motherboard: Electronics
(I don't have 5V 3-pin connector on my MB)

It works without any problems.

I bought this from AliExpress (got the 1-2(3Pin 5V) version as an extender for the led strip only):
Motherboard AURA RGB Splitter 12V / 5V Header, Addressable D RGB SYNC Hub, Transfer Extension Cable For ASUS GIGABYTE MSI|Fans & Cooling| - AliExpress

It works for a second only when I turn on the pc, and then turns off (the RGB strip)

I was trying to connect it without the cable (from AliExpress) and it had the same problem.

Is it dead?
