Budget (including currency):  15-1600

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: save the world, warzone, video editing, schoolwork

Other details Upgrading from a mid-2014 iMac, first build, just want to know if the pieces are compatible. I know the 3070 is a little out of reach but I am watching discord waiting for restocks, MOBO is the NZXT z490, want to know if the psu is enough to fill the load. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JFpN4d

Ok so first off, the 9700 has no hyperthreading, so  if u go with a 10th gen i5 processor, like the 10600k, you will get similar speeds AND more threads. I would go with an Asus Z490 board and power supply is not enough; you will need at least 650w; 850 watts is ideal for the 3070.

The motherboard you chose before was a z390 board, not z490 and only supports cpus from 2018 and earlier. Here is my list. The Water cooler was replaced with the D-15 because the D-15 offers the same performance at a lower price. In addition, I combined the storage since they were already relatively similar speeds, and updated the board and cpu to one generation newer, and added a power supply which is enough for the 3070 (because the one you selected was not)
