Budget (including currency): Around 200 GBP

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, Rainbow six siege, apex legends, Various single player games

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I have enough money to make an upgrade but im stuck on where to start, i know my RAM and Motherboard are going to be very outdated so my instinct is to look for upgrades there but i dont have any ideas on what would be the best or i have been considering getting a SSD for a while now for booting and certain games but again i have no experience with SSD's so if there is anyone that could help me find a good upgrade that would be great

my current build is a result of all my parts being on a deep sale when i got them so my build isnt very consistent in what parts i have so i dont know if i caused a bottleneck somewhere also i have set aside money for a 3070 when they return to MSRP is that a good idea or would i see a larger boost in performance if i spend that money on other componets

Yea, an SSD would be my top priority. There is a Tier List for that in this forum, though what you get will have to depend on what you want from that SSD and how much you are willing to spend, even the worst SSD will be a big improvement, though it is generally recommended to go for those that have DRAM(indicated by the lack of an asterisk* in said tier list) as it makes the SSD perform better(keep it's top performance for longer when writing). Your motherboard seems to support PCIe 3.0 NVME SSDs, so you can go for that(they are generally more expensive, but you don't need a SATA cable nor space to add it to, and are generally faster, but for us plebs that extra speed is not really a "big" thing compared to the difference to a HDD). In the end, this is very subjective, do you care more about brand/reliability or price/space? That's all up to you.
