Esim Android note 20

Go to solution Solved by regboz,

It’s been mentioned that changing the CSC code could enable the eSim manager. Altering the country of origin could fool the phone, any idea?

A link which, if experiencing this problem, should understand why. So far it’s ‘out of our hands’

Personally I will persevere

Does anyone know a way round this please

So, are you asking how to access the ESim manager?

Or how to initialize the device without a carrier?

I am asking how to initialise the ESim manager, it is there and I know the method to normally do it but it isn’t active, it would be in most countries except the US. I’m in the UK

Honestly, my best suggestion is to seek the help of your carrier to initialize as that is my understanding of how the eSIM works.

Outside this maybe another member has a suggestion.

Hope so, as the device isn’t bought through a carrier they can’t help. To be honest I don’t think they know anyway, also the US ESim ‘block’ was to keep the main carriers happy. For some reason they saw (and many still do) see it as a threat. It will have to be accepted eventually. The fact that European devices of the same model have it is slightly galling.
