Out of the blue today my pc got a blue screen but it was frozen and i had to manually restart my pc. When i did that i got error 0xc0000000f. What should i do..? I have to use another computer because i can't boot into windows anymore. Could it be my ssd that failed?

Update: I unplugged all my storage drives and tried them 1 by 1 then all three together and it worked... So what was the issue? Does anyone know how i can find this out?

I would like to Share a bit of my experience -

Yes this has happened with a 2tb SMR HDD in 2018 (I didn't know it was SMR, damn u WD for scamming people).

Multiple times a day I would get bsod with this same issue. Many many forums said ur HDD might be failing. (Including this one)

Right now I am on Linux mint and never had such sudden shutdown.

I also noticed that it could be PSU too bcuz this used to happen a lot when I had my old PSU and... it was sh!tty PSU from sh!tty brand.

now resolved with 80+ bronze PSU everything works like a charm.

What's more it could be the electricity coming from wall too. I would recommend checking ur wall sockets using three prong tester.

(Well either way it's a good measure.)

(Plz do this under ur parents guidance if u r below 21.)

I still don't know why and how all three of the led lit up in three prong testers (multiple yet find a faulty place/reason since wiring in my home is old).

A bad SATA cable (but I doubt it could be in ur case)

And sometimes it could be just windows being windows....

(I would recommend keeping any Linux in ur thumb drive if such things happen in future.)

And last one a dying HDD. (The worst case)

And one more thing, After u get this error most of times what worked for me was disconnecting HDD from PSU waiting a while and then connecting it back.

And it would work again.

(I also would like to point out that it's the same drive which 'had' this problem is still working even right now with no hiccups)
