Xonar DX audio problems

Hey Guys,

 

I seem to get a wierd issue with sound levels fluctuating when im at low volume. 

 

Im currently using a xonar dx sound card and connected to it via the analog input is the creative t3 speakers.

 

If computer specs are relevant here they are:

 

• CPU: i7 3930k
• GPU: Gigabyte gtx 690
• Motherboard: Rampage IV Extreme
• Ram: Corsair Vengeance 1866Mhz  32 GB(4x8GB)
• PSU: Coolermaster silent pro gold 1000W
• CPU cooler: Corsair H100
• Case: Shinobi XL

Also i have connected the HD audio cable from the front panel into the xonar dx card

Or would you guys suggest i buy a xonar essence stx?

i've tested them now. seems to alleviate some of the issues however now a new issue has sprung up.

 

Sometimes while watching flash player videos the audio just cuts off and i have to always click the timeframe it stopped in order for the audio to come back.

 

Does anyone have any experience with the xonar essence stx? This card is just making me crazy im wonderin if the essence stx will make it any better.

 

The essence one also looks like a good choice however im not sure if i should buy the essence stx or the essence one. I have a pair of Ultrasone
Edition 8 headphones which arent given justice with the current set up.
