So i have had many issues with my 2019 Nvidia Shield pro tv. But, the one that has been the biggest headache that i am currently working is is network signal strength. I continue to get drop outs in my signal during game streams from pc to the shield

Originally i was using a router from charter, but i picked a tri band ac1300 nighthawk router.

i have 2 pc and the shield on one of the 5ghz band everything else in my home split between the other 5ghz band and 2.4ghz band. everything that i can find checks out just fine.

channel is great (set to  153 @ -40 /-45 dBm)

connection seems great (aside from when game streaming)

made sure shield only uses 5ghz band

disable wifi roaming on shield

try both enabling/disabling low power channels

tested network activity with analiti directly from the shield it looks good too.

shield ping is 4ms to the router

pc ping to router is 2ms

the only issue that i can identify which may not be related to the signal strength is that the psychical speed  jumps heavily.

max is 1300 Mbps

current 866 Mbps

loss 0 Mbps

it keeps jumping from 866 down to 24 Mbps resulting in a loss of 842 Mbps

Phy speed model is 13dB

if i do change the channel everything is the same except Phy speed model changes to either 6db or 9 db

yes yes i know switching to wired connection will fix this, but i bought the shield to use in a wireless environment.

all help will be appreciated

thanks

Edit:

router model: netgear R8000 ( nighthawk x6 ac3200)
