Ryzen 5000 support

I have a question about ryzen 5000 support for 400 series motherboards  

because amd said that because rom size limits you will not be able to put an older cpu after updating the bios 

But there are some high end x470 bords that have bigger rom size like x470 crosshair hero vii will these be able to put older gen cpus even after updating the bios

400-series boards should have Ryzen 5000 support, but it will vary board-to-board and manufacturer-to-manufacturer.

You'll have to look at the specific motherboard to see if it supports Ryzen 5000 or not.
