  1. You will need to download this file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dprJ7QxIzyzb4jZC-H-fQ_sRzOVCFA62/viewI have downloaded it myself, its around 580MB.
  2. Then, use something like Oculus Tray Icon (https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/5okoju/oculus_tray_tool/) to kill the oculus service.
  3. Then replace the files in your C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support folder with those from the zipped file and voila!
  4. After that, restart oculus app and it should work.
  5. After the full setup process, you might need to uninstall and install it again to have the latest version! But then it should work properly!

Good luck!

So, I just bought an Oculus Quest 2 today and tried to get Oculus Link to work with it. The problem I'm having is that when I run the Oculus PC app I get to the part where I choose my profile image, hit continue, then the program just goes to a blank gray screen and nothing happens. I'm pretty sure it's an issue with the program because this happens whether I have the Quest 2 plugged into my PC or not. I'm using a KRX Link cable I got off Amazon and my PC has a Ryzen 3600 and a 2060 super. I should be able to get the Oculus app running, even without the Quest 2 plugged in but, like I said, It just keeps going to a blank screen after I choose my profile image. When I plug my Quest 2 into the PC I get a prompt on the headset to use Link and the app on the PC starts up, but I still get stuck at the same place. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hey! I am having the same exact issue on the Rift S I got yesterday at this point. I have submitted a very long ticket to oculus. It was working fine then reasked me to choose my profile picture. Once I clicked to go ahead my headset stated the I was not complete with setup. What an unlucky day to get an oculus rift s.

ShrimpBrime you are a life saver! I got the setup finished and everything looks great so far. I'm still trying to get SteamVR to work, I'm new to VR and haven't done it before, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. It's also 3:20am, so I'll probably wait until tomorrow to work on it some more. Thank you again for finding a solution, and I'm sure my kids will thank you too, lol.

For anyone doing this in the future, make sure that after you have finished setting up the Oculus app that you restart the Oculus services with the Oculus Tray Tool, then uninstall and reinstall the Oculus PC app. After that, everything should work fine.
