VRM cooling

Go to solution Solved by Radium_Angel,

Amazon etc sell little stick-on heatsinks for VRMs, then run an active cooling solution across them?

Hey guys, got a question here, after a few years of having a monoblock on the x299 asus prime-a, i want to switch back to an aio or aircooling. Problem is i lost the original vrm heatsink. I already conctacted asus, but they dont provide spare parts according to their helpdesk. Does anyone have an idea on what to do except buy a new mobo?

looks horrible, but could work i guess, just case fans as active cooling solution?

I hope i find a broken mobo where i can salvage the heatsink someday

Yes, just case fans.

Have you checked eBay or even AliExpress for mobo parts?

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

i checked, they have bios chips, headers, io covers etc, but not a heatsink seperatly,  and a second hand version of that mobo still goes for 245, so thats to much for a heatsink

Found any dead motherboards? It would be a pretty good re-use of parts

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
